First review for some time . Felt compelled to do it after receiving a great service from Squarepoint. We had a party wall issue and emotions were running high! Thankfully Scott was able to calm the situation with the other party, applying a compelling blend of experience and expertise which got us over the line and importantly allowed all parties to retain a constructive relationship going forward . This certainly wouldn’t have happened without Scott’s handling of the situation. Got lucky finding them, when compared to some of my friends experiences of other companies offering the same service. I had been hunting for a simple job that required a surveyors expertise, but had been struggling to find trust throughout my enquiries, until I spoke to Adam. Very very Professional from initial contact to project completion. Scott and the team handled our project efficiently and effectively. With clear, open and honest communication. We had an extention built and total internal refurb to a Victoran style property this included accomodation for a paralysed disabled person. The project was completed in expected timelines and that was credit to Squarepoint pushing the work through. The team at Mitre, the builders, electricians, plumbers and decorators all had a great working relationship with Scott they were fantastic, they met all our demands. Even accomodated our changes in the middle of the project, spoke to our neighbors for Party wall. They helped and worked with us to make our home the way we wanted it, in the budget we had. Brilliant and professional surveyors. They helped us sort out our Party Wall Agreement with patience, speed and professionalism throughout. They are helpful, polite and organised. They also had to deal with a very unprofessional surveyor that our neighbour had appointed - which they did brilliantly. “I was buying a refurbished property and got a couple of quotes for a survey. Most surveyors outlined that a full survey probably wasn't required given the refurbished state of the property. However, once I spoke to Scott who outlined it was worth it given the marginal difference in cost of the full survey compared to the value of the property and some of the concerns when buying a refurbished property, it was a no brainer for me. Scott also price matched the quote of a competitor and I felt from there in Scott was the best person to use. I'm grateful for Scott's initial advice with respect to the type of survey as many imperfections of the property would not have been picked up in a standard survey in order to be corrected by the vendor so it was well worth the money. The survey was a key tool in negotiating with the vendor. Scott's survey was very comprehensive, easy to read and he has an impressive eye for detail when it comes to locating defects in a property. Scott was also on hand to walk through the title documentation provided by the Vendor in relation to the refurbishment (such as building certificates, installation and works guarantees) to ensure I had all the relevant documents for completion purposes.
